KILLEEN, Texas — A Killeen ISD employee has been arrested for allegedly falsifying employment paperwork, the district has announced.

Killeen ISD said a federal arrest warrant was issued for the employee on Oct. 3. The district said the matter was "not related to student or staff safety."

Killeen ISD Police assisted in executing the arrest warrant in coordination with federal authorities as legally required, according to the district. The district said Police and Human Resources staff worked to "handle the situation appropriately and with care for the individual involved, including helping the employee contact family and coordinating the retrieval of personal items before the arrest."

The district said additional information will not be released as the issue is a "personal matter."
