OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - 15 of the 21 dogs left at Dogwalker Ranch in Marion County in July have found new homes, but no one has heard from the man who left them there.

Darrell Kelly was caught on surveillance video dropping the animals off at the ranch on July 9.

The ranch’s owner said they were covered in vomit and feces.

Three months later, the owner also said many of the dogs are happier than they’ve ever been.

“They can tell now that they’re at their forever home, they really know it, they realize it,” said Nick Pritchard, owner and manager of Dogwalker Ranch.

Six of the dogs are still up for adoption.

Dogwalker Ranch is currently working to become an official adoption agency that can take animals and free up space for animal services and the Humane Society.
