SHELBY TWP. – Chad Anderson admits that there is some pressure mounting when you have a target on your back.

An undefeated No. 1 singles player from Rochester, the senior keeps winning his matches – most in convincing fashion.

That continued Wednesday at Utica Eisenhower.

Anderson kept his unbeaten season very much in tact by winning three matches and claiming his second straight regional crown at No 1 singles. He took down Rochester Stoney Creek senior Quentin Rangi in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, to earn the medal.

Rangi was a regional and state champion at No. 2 singles last season before jumping up to the No. 1 singles flight this season. Anderson was the Division 1 state runner-up at No. 1 singles last season.
