ONE person has died and another has been flown to hospital after a crash on Thursday morning.

Multiple ambulance crews were deployed to the crash scene on Girraween Road at Graman, near Warialda, about 11am on Thursday, October 9.

A triple zero call was made for help after the ute reportedly lost control and left the road and struck a tree, near the intersection of Craddock Road.

It's understood one occupant of the ute suffered critical injuries.

Ambulance paramedics tried to save the patient but they died at the scene.

A second occupant in the ute, believed to be a young boy, suffered serious leg injuries.

Due to the nature of his injuries, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to the scene with a doctor and intensive care paramedic on board.

The doctor and paramedic stabilised
