Mohammed Shami, India’s experienced pacer, has finally addressed lingering questions about his fitness and availability for the national team. Despite being left out of India’s T20I and ODI squads for the upcoming Australia tour, the 35-year-old fast bowler insists he is in top shape and fully prepared to represent the country whenever called.

Speaking directly to fans on his YouTube channel, Shami clarified that team selection decisions are beyond his control, leaving the matter in the hands of the selectors, captain, and coach. “Whether I get selected or not is not in my hands. The decision of selection is taken by the selection committee, the captain and the coach. If they want to select or give more time, it’s in their hands. But I am ready,” he said.
