Jammu, Oct 9: The Jammu & Kashmir Government’s Directorate of Geology & Mining has suspended an MTS (Chowkidar) deployed at the District Mineral Officer (DMO), Rajouri, for allegedly misusing social media to post content against the government.

The suspension, issued under Order No. 02-JK (DGM) of 2025, cites Rule 18 of the J&K Government Employees (Conduct) Rules, 1971, which prohibits officials from actions that may bring disrepute to the government.

Dr. Raj Kumar, Deputy Director (M&GW), has been appointed as the Inquiry Officer under sub-rule (4) of Rule 33 of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956. He will conduct a detailed inquiry and submit a report with findings and recommendations within a week.
