One of the UK's most notable high street charity chains has announced it will be closing almost 200 stores within the next two years. The move will include a handful of Scots branches. ‌

We reported last week that Cancer Research, which currently operates around 600 stores, was set to undergo a major restructuring plan following a "comprehensive" review of its retail operations. ‌

As part of the major restructuring plans to reduce its portfolio, the first wave of closures will see the firm shutter 88 shops by May 2026, with the locations including nine Scottish sites based in Aberdeen , Edinburgh, Falkirk, Glasgow and more. ‌
