The sister of a young nurse who tragically died in a car crash on her way to a training course has spoken about the final selfless act she made.

Louise Cosgrove was travelling to a training course when the car she was travelling in was involved in a collision. The vehicle struck a tree, causing serious injuries to Louise, who tragically passed away at the scene. She was just 27.

After her death, Louise became a cornea donor - something which her family say brought comfort to them during an incredibly difficult time.

Now, ahead of World Sight Day, her sister, Juliette, who is now chief nursing officer at Greater Manchester's Northern Care Alliance, has shared Louise's selfless story in the hope it will inspire others to consider becoming donors themselves, reports Yorkshi
