1BRONX, NY – A 16-year-old boy was wounded Sunday night after a group of four unidentified males opened fire during a street altercation in Mott Haven, according to the New York City Police Department .

The shooting happened around 8:51 p.m. near Brook Avenue and East 148th Street, where the teen was standing when the group approached and began arguing with him.

The confrontation escalated into a fight, and two of the suspects pulled out guns and fired multiple rounds, striking the victim once in the right thigh.

The suspects fled on foot toward Alexander Avenue as police and medics rushed to the scene.
