In a significant crackdown on insurgency in Arunachal Pradesh, the Assam Rifles, in a joint operation with Tirap Police and the Eastern Command Intelligence Bureau (ECIB), apprehended four senior cadres of the NSCN (R) on Wednesday. The operation took place near Deomali in Tirap district, following credible intelligence on the movement of militants in the region.

According to a press statement issued by Assam Rifles,a Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) was set up at 7:00 AM.
