Bhubaneswar: Though the cyclonic circulation over north Odisha has become less marked, the state may continue to experience heavy rain till October 12, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Thursday.

According to the midday bulletin, heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorm/lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph may occur at one or two places in Gajapati district on October 9. ADVERTISEMENT

There is also a warning of thunderstorm/lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph for the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh , andhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri.
