FARMINGTON, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A 13-year-old girl was airlifted to a hospital after a crash took place Wednesday evening that involved a SWAT vehicle from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and another car.

Police say the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on Highway 67 near Farmington. The SWAT vehicle was carrying deputies from a training exercise when the crash occurred.

The 13-year-old was a passenger in a car being driven by her mother, police say. The teen’s mother was taken to a hospital by an ambulance, but police did not have information on the severity of her injuries.

No deputies were hurt, police say.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating.
