BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. —

The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office said one person is dead after a shooting Wednesday.

Deputies said it happened around 6 p.m. on Kreston Drive. When deputies arrived, they found 55-year-old William Jennings Bryan Clay III dead.

Deputies said this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.

There is no word on a suspect as this time.
