West Virginia’s inability to maintain possession and sustain drives has been a primary factor preventing the Mountaineers from finding much in the way of positives through their first three Big 12 games.
With an average of 16 points in league play to this point, West Virginia (2-4, 0-3) is last in the conference. Five of the Mountaineers’ six touchdowns against Big 12 competition have come after halftime and none have brought about a deficit fewer than 14 points after being scored.
