A shopper found themselves “tearing up” after purchasing a vintage wooden box in a charity shop and finding an inscription inked on the bottom of it. Charity and thrift shops can be a treasure trove of clothing, trinkets and personal belongings, with many people often on the hunt for reasonably priced yet good quality items .
One bargain hunting shopper spotted a “well made little box” at a Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) charity shop and was touched by the message written on its base. The shopper feels “honoured” to have it in their possession, and has pledged to take on the role of “caretaker” for it.
