A gunman who peppered a home with bullets may have attacked the wrong property, police believe.

The Manchester Evening News understands mistaken identity is one line of inquiry being pursued by by detectives following the incident in Salford on Monday (October 6).

Yesterday )October 8), five men were arrested in connection with the shooting. All of these have now been released on conditional bail.

At least seven shots were fired into a house in Lissadel Street in the reckless attack, hitting windows both upstairs and downstairs and the front door. Police are still trying to establish a motive.
