Employment advisers will be stationed within GP practices and mental health services as part of a £167million Government initiative aimed at supporting 40,000 sick and disabled people back into employment. The development forms part of the Connect to Work programme, which the DWP claims "refuses to write off sick or disabled people" and seeks to lift thousands out of poverty into secure, rewarding employment.
