With summer officially over, it's time to get ready for the cold and fall storms.

The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for this week in parts of the region while a storm could bring coastal flooding to Delaware into early next week.

Freeze warning

Freeze warnings and frost advisories are in effect the night of Oct. 9 through the morning of Oct. 10 in parts of the area, according the National Weather Service.

Delaware is forecasted to stay out of the zone projected to freeze, but parts of the Philadelphia suburbs in Pennsylvania and South Jersey could be impacted. These areas could see temperatures in the lows 30s or 40s during that time span.
