SPOKANE, Wash. — This month you might be seeing the color purple a bit more because October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
In efforts to advocate for survivors, a unique partnership has formed in Spokane.
We always see Lime scooters zooming across our streets of Spokane, and typically, when you think of Lime, you think green, right?
Well, now the company has thrown purple into their wardrobe.
It’s a move to help the YWCA, which works directly with survivors here in Spokane.
Any time you ride a Lime scooter or bike with the purple wrapping, proceeds will be donated to YWCA.
You can also support the initiative through Lime Hero Program, which also benefits the YWCA 24-hour intimate partner violence helpline.
