OLYMPIA, Wash. — Troopers across the Pacific Northwest stopped more than 5,300 motorists as part of a multistate emphasis patrol in honor of fallen Trooper Christopher Gadd.

According to Washington State Patrol (WSP), law enforcement agencies across Washington, Idaho and Oregon contacted 5,330 motorists across Washington State as part of the "One More Stop" Emphasis Patrol.

According to WSP, 46% of motorists were issued citations for infractions, and 54% of motorists were issued warnings.

WSP also said 109 motorists were arrested for suspected DUI, while 144 others were arrested for other offenses or warrants.

WSP said during the emphasis patrols, the most common infraction cited was speeding, which was 28% of motorist contacts. Distracted driving citations came in at four percent, wh
