ORANGE, Mass. (WWLP) - A man has died following a skydiving accident at Orange Municipal Airport in Massachusetts on Saturday.

In a news release from the Northwestern District Attorney's Office, 62-year-old Robert Szabo of Connecticut was taken to UMass Medical Center in Worcester following a skydiving accident. The DA's Office says that he died Tuesday evening.

The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit attached to the Northwestern District Attorney's Office, the Orange Police Department, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

22News contacted the FAA for a preliminary report and additional information; however, they stated, "Due to a lapse in funding, the FAA is not responding to routine media inquiries."
