A new tourism offering could be coming to Ayrshire - boasting ‘eco cabins’ made out of old shipping containers. ‌

Ayrshire Live can reveal that the plan also includes hot tubs for each luxury cabin, a wildflower meadow, as well as stunning views of the coastline. ‌

Proposals for the new business venture have been unveiled in a planning application to South Ayrshire Council. ‌

Agents in the proposals are Kilmarnock-based Thomson Hunter Associates and the applicant is Peter O’Connor, of Maybole-based Magical Boltholes Ltd.

The plans involve a change of use on agricultural land at Firth View Cottages, Dunure Road, Ayr, to build four holiday cabins - designed for short-term holiday accommodation.
