Playing what coach AJ Moses said was their best basketball of the season, the Mitchell senior girls’ basketball team was relentless at both ends of the court in building a big lead over visiting Stratford District and cruising to a much-needed victory.

The Blue Devils jumped out to a 13-4 lead after the first quarter of the Oct. 6 game — and were up 28-14 at the half — before recording a 57-20 victory in Huron-Perth regular season action.

Khallee Eisler led all scorers with 19 points, including four three-pointers to lead the Blue Devils, while Grade 10 student Lucy Moses had 12, including one trey in the first quarter, and exchange student Lola Rodriguez, also in Grade 10 and easily the smallest player on the court for either side, added 10. She also started the game at point guard.
