Actor Ron Dean, who was best known for his roles in films “The Fugitive,” “The Breakfast Club,” and more, has died. He was 87.

Dean died on Oct. 5, according to his partner, Maggie Neff, Variety reports. No cause of death was given.

“He passed at exactly 4pm, after his beloved sisters had said their goodbyes,” Neff said. “He hung on like a warrior to say goodbye to his little sisters. Then we were alone, and in my arms, I held his hand, and he trusted me when I told him that it was alright to let go. What an honor!”

Born Aug. 15, 1938, in Chicago, Dean earned nearly 100 film and television acting credits across his 40-year career from 1976-2016, according to his IMDb .
