The Toronto Blue Jays could have their best contact hitter back in the lineup by the time the ALCS gets underway on Sunday.
The Jays were able to punch their ticket to the ALCS for the first time since 2016, eliminating the New York Yankees in Game 4 of the ALDS by a 5-2 final. It was a fantastic series for the Blue Jays, made all the more impressive given the fact that they were able to do it without Bo Bichette.
Bichette hasn’t played since suffering a PCL sprain in his left knee in early September. The Blue Jays have been very vague on any potential return for the 27-year-old, though he was spotted doing some light running drills Wednesday morning. After Wednesday’s win, the two-time All-Star suggested he may not be too far away from a return to the lineup.
