HIGHLANDS, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Jackson County Emergency Management said a emergency services are trying to find a missing person.

Officials said 69-year-old Neil Neidhardt was reported missing on Wednesday. His last known location was at the Whiteside Mountain Trailhead with an unknown direction of travel.

Neidhardt is described as five foot eight and approximately 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing tan shorts, a green jacket and hiking boots.
