TYLER, Texas — TJC Theatre has kicked off its 2025-26 season the musical version of "James and the Giant Peach."

Denise Weatherly-Green, Tyler Junior College theatre professor, is leading the production, and the music is under the leadership of Charles Praytor, TJC music professor.

The musical presents a blend of physical theatre, puppetry, imaginative staging and dance to create a playfully quaint and fanciful tone. The puppets in the show were made by former TJC theatre student Jay Stevens, of Forney.

The showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Oct. 8 to 11, and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, in Wise Auditorium, located in the Rogers Palmer Performing Arts Center on the TJC central campus.

Tickets for the show cost $10 for adults and $5 for seniors ages 65 and up, students and active military. Box off
