WASHINGTON — While Halloween is still a few weeks away, retailers are starting to unveil their holiday shopping plans and Thanksgiving Day closures.
Kohl's confirmed on Thursday that its stores will once again be closed on Thanksgiving Day for 2025.
"Kohl’s stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day so associates can enjoy time with loved ones, and will re-open on Black Friday," the company said in a press release about the holiday season, including its extended holiday return policy.
While some businesses used to have at least limited hours on Thanksgiving Day, many began closing their doors during the holiday in 2020 as the coronavirus pandemic began. Since then, most major chains including Kohl's, Walmart, Target and Best Buy have pivoted to being closed on Thanksgiving.
