Gloria Kovscek is having a freshman season to remember.
The Brownsville striker officially hit the 30 mark for goals scored in just her first year of high school soccer on Wednesday night in a 2-1 victory against Beth-Center.
“It’s been a pretty good season,” Kovscek said.
Kovscek’s performance has helped to propel Brownsville into a playoff spot, finishing Class 1A Section 2 play with a 5-3-2 record. The Falcons finished second in Section 2, behind Bentworth and ahead of Chartiers-Houston and Waynesburg Central.
Kovscek said she’s excited for her first-ever high school playoffs.
