The New York Yankees fell well short of the World Series this year, losing to the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALDS.

Despite finishing with the same record as the Blue Jays in the regular season, the Yankees were completely overmatched against them in October, getting outscored 34-19 over the four games.

While much of the blame has fallen on manager Aaron Boone, New York’s front office also deserves criticism for building him a flawed roster.
