Thursday: The weather remains relatively calm as a closed low-pressure system lingers off the Oregon coast, sending weak waves of moisture into the Northwest. Most of the resulting precipitation will stay west of the Cascades, although some light rain is expected along the Cascade crest, eastern slopes, and the Okanogan foothills. These areas will see cooler temperatures in the 60s due to clouds and occasional rain. Further east, however, skies will be drier and sunnier, allowing afternoon highs to climb into the mid to upper 70s—making Thursday the warmest day in the forecast. Friday: Cloud cover and rain chances spread farther east as the offshore low begins moving inland. As a result, temperatures will dip slightly, with afternoon highs in the low 70s.
