The Southwestern Athletic Conference college football season has reached its halfway mark of its 14-week regular season. Now is a good time to review some of the lessons learned thus far in the 2025 season.
Biggest disappointment
Southern (1-4, 0-1) has as strong a case as any to be considered the conference’s biggest disappointment thus far.
After reaching the SWAC championship game in the first year under coach Terrence Graves in 2024 and reloading in the transfer portal, the Jaguars had an abundance of preseason hype from coaches within their conference and from HBCU football media.
