Alouettes head coach Jason Maas would never say his team isn’t competitive without Davis Alexander.
Montreal, after all, won three games this season under McLeod Bethel-Thompson while starting quarterback Alexander was recovering, twice, from a hamstring injury.
But Maas states the obvious when he says his team is that much better when Alexander’s playing.
“No question. Does Davis make us a better football team? Absolutely,” Maas said. “There’s proof in that. The stats and record will show you that. There’s a belief there. But there’s also belief we can win without him.
