1CHERRY HILL, N.J. – A quick-acting fire alarm system and fast response by local firefighters prevented major damage to a home in the Willowdale section of town earlier today.
Crews were initially dispatched for a standard alarm activation but upgraded the call to a confirmed house fire while en route.
When firefighters and EMTs arrived, they found smoke conditions but quickly brought the situation under control, officials said.
No injuries were reported, and damage to the structure was kept to a minimum thanks to the early detection and rapid response.
