ST. CHARLES PARISH, La. —

The Louisiana State Police is urging residents to take alternate routes after an overturned truck spilled gravel on portions of Interstate 310 in St. Charles Parish.

I-310 southbound is closed while troopers and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development work to assess damage and clear the road. Advertisement

I-310 will be closed at the I-310 exits from I-10 west and east. There is no estimated time for the road reopening.

Drivers should take US 61 as an alternate route.
