HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A summit in Huntington is helping spark a community-wide conversation.
Branches Domestic Violence Shelter is bringing together local leaders to discuss building a trauma responsive community.
The summit got underway at 8:30 a.m. at the Marshall Health Network Arena.
Branches tells us this is the beginning of a year-long initiative that looks to foster an environment where survivors of domestic violence can thrive.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Branches will be hosting events to support survivors all month long.
You can keep up with upcoming events on their Facebook page or on their website, branchesdvs.org .
