Measles cases have surged in Upstate South Carolina in recent months.

As of Oct. 9, there have been 11 measles cases, including eight in Spartanburg County , since July 9, according to the South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH). Two Spartanburg elementary schools have been linked to the ongoing outbreak, including Global Academy of South Carolina and Fairforest Elementary.
