Freeze warnings issued for several counties within our region have been extended into Friday morning by the National Weather Service, while frost advisories still remain.

Freeze warnings are in effect for Crawford, Warren, Venango Counties in Pennsylvania and Ashtabula County, OH, starting at midnight Friday until 9 am the following morning.

During this time, temperatures could reach as low as 28 degrees in counties with freeze warnings. Counties with frost advisories, like Erie and Chautauqua, NY, are expected to reach similar temperatures and will also expire at 9 am Friday.

Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive plants that aren’t covered, along with possibly damaging any outdoor plumbing that isn’t protected.
