An investigation has been launched after a Chicago police-involved shooting in the Roseland neighborhood Thursday.
According to a statement, the Civilian Office of Police Accountability says it is responding to an officer-involved shooting near the intersection of 111 th Street and State Street.

Chicago police are expected to give a press conference on the shooting Thursday afternoon, but no further information was immediately available.
NBC’s Sky 5 helicopter was over the scene on Thursday afternoon, with numerous officers and crime-scene tape visible as the investigation into the shooting continued.
