RUPERT, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The City of Rupert’s swimming pool at Neptune Park is undergoing major renovations that will transform it into a year-round facility, thanks to a new retractable dome currently under construction.
The dome installation, which represents phase one of the comprehensive upgrade project, is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. The $3 million project has been funded primarily through community donations, according to city officials.
“What we’ve seen in the City of Rupert is some amazing projects happening,” said Kelly Anthon, Rupert City Administrator. “And it says something about what our community is. It’s a community that really sees a vision and then comes together and makes it happen. This swimming pool project is one of those projects.”
