MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — As one of the most high-profile additions to Ross Hodge’s first roster at WVU, senior Treysen Eaglestaff will be counted on to stretch opposing defenses with his long-range shooting ability. The 6-foot-6, 190-pound forward was the only Division I player to reach the 40-point mark twice last season. Eaglestaff scored 51 points in North Dakota’s Summit League tournament game against South Dakota State. He also scored 40 points against No. 6 Alabama.

“That game, for sure, changed my life,” Eaglestaff said.

Despite scoring 40 points against the Crimson Tide on 15-of-30 shooting from the floor and 8-of-18 shooting from beyond the arc, UND head coach Paul Sather had a postgame message for Eaglestaff that stuck with him.
