AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - The University of Maine at Augusta held a career fair and open house on Thursday to show off a part of their new Capital Center.

The school’s brand new Capital Center opened to students just this past fall with an emphasis on both nursing and cybersecurity.

On Thursday, the university opened the doors up to members of the community looking to tour the cybersecurity wing of the building.

With tables also set up for students to connect with career resources.

U.M.A. says that while the field of cybersecurity is growing so is the need and the state of Maine is currently at a shortage with over two thousand jobs unfilled.

They hope that facilities like this one along with expanded services can fill that gap.
