FRANKFORT, Ky. —
Florida's attorney general says officials are working to send a recently released Kentucky prisoner back to the Commonwealth.
Ronald Exantus was released from prison in October after serving less than half of his 20-year sentence.
Exantus killed 6-year-old Logan Tipton in Versailles, Kentucky in 2015. He was found not guilty of murder by reason of insanity, but convicted of assault for attacking the boy's family members.
Following his release, Exantus was reportedly in Florida.
Florida AG James Uthmeier said his officer was alerted to Exantus being in the state and they are working to send him back to Kentucky.
