WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A Killeen woman charged with impersonating a Houston attorney with the same name in at least three counties was sentenced to three years in prison Thursday.
Amber Kay Morrison, 37, pleaded guilty to one count of falsely holding oneself out to be an attorney, a third-degree felony, and was sentenced by 19th State District Judge Thomas West to three years in prison under the terms of her plea bargain.
Morrison was sentenced to 15 months in jail on similar allegations in Bell County earlier this year and faces two identical charges in Galveston County, according to court records.
