Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James will be sidelined for at least the next 3-4 weeks due to sciatica on his right side, the team announced Thursday.

James’ return timeline will keep him out of the Lakers’ regular season opener against the Golden State Warriors on Oct. 21 and the team’s first week of games, at minimum. That means James won’t suit up when the Portland Trail Blazers play the Lakers in Los Angeles on Oct. 27. That matchup will mark Portland’s fourth game of the regular season.
