WAUTOMA, Wis. (WFRV) - A 16-year-old boy in Wautoma was arrested Thursday afternoon after reportedly telling a social worker that he was going to do a shooting and target law enforcement.
According to a release, the Waushara County Sheriff's Dispatch Center received information on the report around 1:20 p.m. Thursday. The student's family members reported that their guns from home were missing while the student was at Wautoma High School.
Officers say the social worker spoke to School Resource Officer Hendrickson and contacted Chief Mott concerning the situation.
Chief Mott was off-duty but contacted dispatch, who had not yet sent officers to a threat of a possibly armed suspect at the school. Officers were quickly dispatched following Chief Mott's request, and then the school went on l
