The National Weather Service issued a high wind watch at 2:08 p.m. on Thursday valid from Sunday 11 a.m. until Monday 2 a.m. for Cape May and Atlantic counties.
The weather service states, “Northeast winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible.”
“Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles,” comments the weather service. “Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe location prior to the onset of winds.”
