On Thursday at 2:08 p.m. a high wind watch was released by the National Weather Service valid from Sunday 11 a.m. until Monday 2 a.m. for Atlantic County.
The weather service comments, “Northeast winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible.”
“Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered,” explains the weather service. “Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe location prior to the onset of winds. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.”
