TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - This month, WCTV Investigates is heading into Big Bend classrooms to see how local school districts performed with grades over the past few years.

Last week, our first segment of our series involved our team talking with superintendents in two districts, Gadsden County Schools and Jefferson County Schools.

A map compiled by WCTV Investigates with data from the Florida Dept. of Education reveals that, among five-year averages, both districts rank among the bottom five in Florida.

But what’s being done to change the trend, especially when it comes to those vital reading and math scores?
