HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - As Israel and Hamas agree to a temporary pause after two years of conflict, two South Carolina lawmakers are reflecting on their recent visit to the region — a trip they say offered a deeper understanding of life amid war and the pursuit of peace.
State Sen. Luke Rankin of Horry County and Rep. Jay Jordan of Florence County were among 250 state leaders invited by Israel as part of its “50 States, One Israel” campaign.
The initiative brought officials from across the United States to experience firsthand the challenges and realities facing the country.
